It could have been the worst terrorist attack in history...
British Airways flies 747s, 767s, and 777s on its international flights. The Boeing 747-400 can carry more than 500 passengers; a 767-300 can take 375, and the 777-300 can accomodate over 360. Even if we assume the smallest aircraft and no full flights, we're still easily talking about over three thousand deaths. At maximum, there would have been over five thousand people killed.
If anyone out there needed a wakeup call, you've had it.
And I would like to point out that just the day before this all came to light, I read an article about a pro-Hezbollah rally in Quebec. It made me sick at the time, and it makes me weep now to realize that the attitudes of those in attendance are unlikely to change just because a few thousand innocent travellers were nearly killed this week.
Terrorists are not victims. They are evil, they are murderers, they are inhuman.
They are target practice.

Bombs, lies, and 35mm film
Qana, Lebanon. Government claims 54 dead. Actual count: 28 dead, 13 missing.
Things like this are bad enough from the Lebanese government, but we now have evidence that Reuters, one of the most pervasive wire services in North America, has been essentially spreading propaganda.
They ran several photos that were either doctored or set up to greatly increase the impression of civilian carnage in the wake of Israel's counterattack against Hezbollah. Reuters probably (I stress the word "probably") didn't know anything, but this incident certainly undermines their credibility and, unfortunately, the reliability of all photojournalists, 98% of whom are perfectly honest.
My question at this point is this: what happens to Adnan Hajj, the photographer in question? Obviously, he should be fired. Just as obviously, he should be arrested for.....something. Is propaganda a legal offense in the United States? Whatever...point is, this bastard has intentionally misled millions, possibly billions of people for the purpose of inspiring sympathy for terrorists and turning the world against the country said terrorists are attacking.
That's not something he can be allowed to get away with.
